Conservation & Restoration

Do you have precious letters or family documents that you wish to preserve for future generations?

Are you responsible for an institution’s archive and records?

Are you a collector of classic posters?

At Artworks Conservation we undertake conservation projects for national museums, galleries as well as many archives, including The Dean & Chapter of York Minster, City of York Archives as well as a number of local churches and organisations. Documents, including parchment or vellum, can be cleaned, repaired and placed in archive-quality, protective housing. Read more about our clients (clickable link).

Artworks Conservation offers a reprographic service and can produce printed facsimiles of documents, photographs and artworks on 100% cotton, acid-free paper. Recently we created archival facsimiles of nineteenth century banknotes for the Bombay Spirits Company’s new distillery in a former paper mill!
